I am very proud to be the current president of this strong and dynamic organisation. CATSINaM was founded in 1997 to represent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and (later) midwives, and we are focused on getting our Peoples to think about nursing and midwifery as a career. We are also focused on keeping them in the profession once they are qualified. Our membership base is unique, and our organisation provides them with the opportunity to develop their career in a culturally safe and non-judgmental environment. I encourage you to look through this website to learn more about the work we do for you and with our professional affiliates, the opportunities available to you, and the issues that are important to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives across Australia.
