President’s Welcome

I am honoured and proud to be the current president of this progressive, dynamic organisation.

CATSINaM is integral to the improvement of health care provision and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and communities, and also to increase our nursing and midwifery workforce. As a midwife, I am incredibly passionate about maternal and infant health and building our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander midwifery workforce.

CATSINaM aims to ensure that our students remain culturally safe throughout their training and support through their transition to clinical practice and future careers. I encourage you to look through this website to learn more about the work we do, our professional affiliates, the opportunities available to you, and current issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives across Australia.
