Leeona West

Leeona West firstly is a proud Aboriginal women and descendant of the Kalkadoon People on her mother’s side Northwest QLD and the Djaku-nde People on her father side Northwest Brisbane.

Secondly Leeona is a Registered Nurse with over 25yrs in Nursing experience with her most honoured role as an Aboriginal Registered Nurse fulfilling the role of The Director of Nursing Gununa (Mornington Island) Hospital. This position allowed Leeona the opportunity utilise my skills, knowledge and life experiences as a registered nurse and full-fill my responsibilities as a proud Aboriginal woman.

Leeona is currently a Membership Officer with CATSINaM working remotely from home in Mount Isa and remains on the casual pool at Mount Isa Hospital.
