Educating the Educators (LINMEN)

LINMEN aims to:

  • Support nursing and midwifery educators to provide the highest quality education and training on cultural  safety and First Nations health, history and culture,
  • Contribute to graduating nurses and midwives who are better prepared to provide culturally safe health services to First Nations people and,
  • Support the recruitment of First Nations nurses and midwives.

The work of LINMEN is guided by the LINMEN Roadmap 2023-2028.

To join LINMEN, you must be a CATSINaM Individual Member. Undergraduate students are not eligible.

To be eligible you MUST be a CATSINaM member who works or contributes to one of the following:

  • Higher Education
  • Vocational Education and Training
  • Clinical Education
  • Clinical Practice
  • Other relevant sectors that align with LINMEN's goals;

Demonstrate a willingness to:

  • Support CATSINaM's education and training initiatives, such as supporting the review, redevelopment, and delivery of CATSINaM education and training programs
  • Positively engage and support in LINMEN activities
  • Promote LINMEN’s work and activities to colleagues and organisations
  • Contribute to hosting or facilitating professional development events (optional but encouraged).
