Who can join CATSINaM

CATSINaM welcomes Membership Applications from: 

  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Nurses, Midwives or Enrolled Nurses
  • Actively enrolled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Nursing and Midwifery students
  • Retired Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives
  • Any Individuals and/or Organisations who are committed to supporting CATSINaM

What kinds of Memberships are available

  • Ordinary Member: for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People who practice as a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife or Enrolled Nurse
  • Student Member: for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People who are currently enrolled and actively studying Nursing or Midwifery
  • Associate Member: for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People who have retired from their profession as an Enrolled Nurse, Registered Nurse or Midwife
  • Affiliate Member – Individual: is open to all people who can demonstrate a commitment to support CATSINaM
  • Affiliate Members – Corporate: is open to all corporate entities who can demonstrate a commitment to support CATSINaM without conflict

What does CATSINaM Membership offer

As a CATSINaM Member we look forward to supporting you in a variety of ways, including – but not limited to: 

  • Regular communiques and updates via a range of media including emails and text messages on current issues and events;
  • Access to upcoming online/virtual events including opportunities for continuing professional development offered by CATSINaM and/or our partners;
  • Membership discounts with CATSINaM and our partners;
  • Access to scholarship opportunities offered by CATSINaM and/or our partners; and
  • Opportunities to contribute and/or on occasion, participate in State, Territory, National and/or International Advocacy for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives.

PLEASE NOTE: 

  • All CATSINaM Membership Application forms are referred to the CATSINaM Board for consideration, acceptance and/or rejection (i.e. pursuant to Section 15 of the Constitution)
  • Ordinary Members and Student Members have full voting rights
  • CATSINaM Membership is not a Confirmation of Aboriginality
